The Xc Range was launched in 2008 with the Xc45 which was the first of these dedicated cruising yachts to be built and was named the European Yacht of the Year. Since their launch 300 Xc yachts have been delivered becoming one of the most sought after blue water cruisers. In designing the Xc range, X-Yachts went for increased volume and displacement which allowed for equipping these boats with larger tanks, engines, battery banks and anchoring gear which are all essential to long distance cruising. However the pedigree of performance sailing still can be found in the Xc range with forward V sections and stiff epoxy infused oven baked hulls which makes the sailing performance better and more comfortable. To compliment the blue water cruising properties the Xc range have extensive teak decking, and a wide choice of windscreen, spray hood and bimini options.
In 2024 a completely new generation of the Xcruising yachts was launched with the Xc47 which was described by Thomas Mielec, director of design & engineering at X-Yachts. as " an elegant bluewater cruiser, built for safe and comfortable sailing on the oceans. Immense focus has been placed on the design to make shorthanded sailing safe and easy".
